Hot Babe!
Little Hannah, who hasn't even turned 2 yet, eats mutton rendang! Her big sister Joni (31/2 won't touch anything even mildly pedas1 but she seems to have her mother's taste buds! (Juliane loves Indian food.)
1. "Pedas" is the Malay word for "hot" as in chili. Since English uses the same word to describe two different phenomena, we decided to borrow the Malay word in our family usage so as not to confuse the kids when we talk about hot food.
